NHL Games to Watch; March 6th

NHL games to watch

Penguins @ Sharks 10:30 PM|7:30 PM PT (NBCSN|ROOT-PIT|CSN-CA)

This game could provide a glimpse of a Stanley Cup Finals match up, both teams are great offensively and have solid back ends on defense. However will goaltending be the story as the playoffs unfold again? We’ll have to wait and see. Furthermore, will offenses be more powerful than defenses for the first time in several years? As far as this game goes, it is hard not to like it on paper, two offenses that can light up the scoreboard more times than the phrase is said in the song “My Songs Know What You Did in the Dark” by Fall Out Boy. I think this will be a 7-5 Sharks win, it is just a hunch. And as a little inspiration I leave this part of the blog with the following video:

Honorable Mention(s)

Avalanche @ Red Wings 8 PM ET|5 PM PT (NHL-Network US|ALT|FS-DET)

Nick Lidstrom gets his #5 retired by the Red Wings tonight an what is expected to be an one hour ceremony.

Capitals @ Bruins 7 PM ET (CSN-Mid Atlantic|NESN)

A rematch from Saturday where the Capitals beat the Bruins thanks to their great work on the Power Play.
