NHL Games to Watch; December 23rd
Maple Leafs @ Rangers 7 PM ET
This should be a great match up as both teams are playing very good hockey as of late making for a potential rare good Eastern Conference battle. This is rare because the level the Western Conference is playing on is unheard of.
Penguins @ Senators 7:30 PM ET
This game has me a little curious because of the recent chippy past between these teams. Not to mention the Penguins and Senators are still two of the better clubs in the Eastern Conference despite what the standings might say about Ottawa.
Wild @ Flyers 7:30 PM ET
This game a month ago would have never made the list of games to watch, but lets give the Flyers credit, they’ve turned it around nicely since their poor start. The Flyers have done very well since their brawl on November 1st against the Capitals posting a 13-7-4 record over that span. Meanwhile the Wild are quietly going about their business which has them ranked 8th in the Western Conference.
Avalanche @ Sharks 10:30 PM ET
While both of these teams are struggling lately (combined 8-9-3 in their last ten games) they are both still in playoff contention coming into tonight’s game. The Avalanche and Sharks have both shown talent this season which is typically a good thing. These teams should be a strong contender come playoff time since I don’t see either team failing to reach the playoffs.
