NHL Games to Watch; November 5th
Dallas Stars @ Boston Bruins 7PM (NESN/FS-SW+)
If the last two games between these teams in Boston are any indication you can expect a physical game tonight, last time these teams played in Boston their were 3 fights in the first 4 seconds of the game. But even if not the headline of Tyler Seguin making his return to Boston for the first time as a member of the Dallas Stars will be interesting to see. Loui Eriksson returns to the line-up tonight for the Bruins. The Bruins have lost 3 of their last 4, while the Stars have gotten points in 3 out of their last four games picking up two wins in that span.
Vancouver Canucks @ Phoenix Coyotes 9PM (Sportsnet Pacific)
Both of these teams are off to great starts so this game deserves to be on the list, even if I have a hard time getting into the Coyotes, or watching a team coached by John Tortorella. Regardless both teams deserve credit, not so much because of dominance as both teams have a goal differential of plus-5. Both on the surprising side, both teams average over three goals per game scored and allowed. Which means clearly either Tortorella’s defense first style has disappeared or the most likely option is that the Canucks have not learned it well enough yet.
